The 'Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2023', a tournament that determines the strongest region in League of Legends, will be held at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England from May 2 to 21.
This year's MSI will feature 13 teams from 9 regions around the world. 2 teams from 4 major regions - LCK (Korea), LPL (China), LEC (EMEA), LCS (North America) - will participate, and 5 other regions - VCS (Vietnam), PCS (Southeast Asia), CBLOL (Brazil) , LLA (Latin America) and LJL (Japan) will participate one by one.
Most of the teams participating in MSI as regional representatives have also been decided. Representatively, the LCK will feature Gen.G, the spring champion, and T1, the runner-up team. The LPL will feature spring champions JDG Gaming (JDG) and runner-up Bilibili Gaming (BLG). The LCS will feature the spring champion Cloud Nine (C9) and the runner-up Golden Guardians (GG).
In the play-in stage, which will be held from May 2nd to 7th, three teams will survive.
